Season 10 1942/43
Managed by John High & captained by Jimmy Jackson , we were hampered by the call up of our players to the forces.
The season started with Gordon Box netting seven of our eleven goals v Napier Athletic in the opening game. Other convincing wins v Handley Page, 6-2 and v RAF (N) 8-0 soon followed. After a good start a run of almost three months without a win ended hopes of any success.
Denis Russell topped scored with 11 goals. Gordon Box scored 10 before joining Wealdstone.
Jimmy Jackson & George Gunning were Selected for the league Representative side.
On Saturday January 9th 1943 Robert (Bob) Wilson would become the first Harrow player to be killed in action during the war. Aged 24
