Season 1-1933-34

The Club was formed in 1933 as Roxonian F.C. & remained so until 1938 when the name was changed to Harrow Town. Our initial season was in the Harrow & District League Division One, we played at Earlsmead Estate, Northolt Park. Led by enthusiastic chairman Jimmy Hanger, who had played for Northampton, we were fortunate to be loaned a ground by Grainger and Apthorpe of South Harrow and be given materials for a pavilion by Walker Taylor. The first ever match was a 5-2 home victory over Harrow Weald United played on September 9th 1933. A run of eight games undefeated in March and April 1934 saw us clinch second place and promotion to the premier division. However, this was never taken up as we were elected to the Spartan league for 1934/5. The reserves were champions of the Harrow and district league division three and finalists in the Harrow junior cup.

Players that season included:

E. Bickles
Allday
A. Franklin
R. Lumsden

S. Sear
G. Moon

Terry. Eden
