After 16 months of playing away from home we finally played a home match against Windsor & Eton on 26th August winning 5-2 with Billy Gill and Dave Thomas scoring two each and the other goal by Joe Kasza. By a strange coincidence Windsor & Eton had also been the visitors for the first ever match at Earlsmead back in 1934.
In the F.A. Cup a Joe Kasza goal finally knocked out Molesey (1-0) in a replay after a goalless draw at Earlsmead. A trip to Leytonstone was the reward with the home side winning by a single goal.
We entered the F.A. Trophy for the first time and would get to play seven matches in the competition. A visit to St Albans City ended in a draw thanks to an equaliser by Billy Gill. In the replay a Dave Thomas second half strike sent Boro’ through to meet Boreham Wood away in the next round. A scoreless draw in the first contest was followed by a 1-1 draw after extra time back in South Harrow Billy Gill had scored in the 89th minute. Harrow won the toss to stage the 2nd replay on the following Wednesday, which would be the first match played under the new floodlights. Boro won at the third attempt as Kasza & Thomas scored. A 2-2 draw at Staines Town was followed by a 0-3 home defeat in the replay.
In the Middlesex Senior Cup Willesden were on the receiving end of a Joe Kasza hat-trick , an incident at a function at the club that weekend resulted in manager Dave Richards being sacked.
Mo Boreham was caretaker manager by the time we played Finchley, who had knocked Wealdstone out of the F.A. Trophy, they were beaten 2-1 on their own ground with both goals scored by Jack Hoy.
The following Tuesday was the official opening of the refurbished Stadium and new floodlights. Our visitors were an Arsenal X1, with nearly 1,700 people at Earlsmead on a winters night just a week before Christmas . The Harrow public saw an impressive display as Joe Kasza scored twice and Jack Hoy the other in a 3-1 win. The young Arsenal side that evening included Graham Rix, John Divine, Trevor Ross Frank Stapleton and Wilf Rostron.
On January 10th the Isthmian League Executive meet and voted four new clubs into the League, Hornchurch, Ware, Wembley and Harrow Borough were to join division two for the 1975/76 season.
A new Manager was appointed in George Taylor, a former Scottish Amateur International who had captained Hounslow in the 1962 Amateur Cup Final and had since been their manager and manager at Wembley F.C.
League form was inconsistent, wining as many games losing. The next round of the Middlesex Senior Cup brought Hendon to Earlsmead, Boro held on for a nil nil draw before losing the replay 3-1 (Alan Green scored).
George Taylor was making plans for Isthmian league football next season. Towards the end of the season a friendly against a very strong Watford side was arranged. John Cerasoli and Bobby Bennett both played in this match ahead signing for the following season.
Boro finished 9th after winning just two of the last seven league matches. Our final Athenian League match was a 0-0 draw attaints Uxbridge at the old Honeycroft ground.
Leading goalscorer was Billy Gill on 20 goals followed by Joe Kasza on 13.
