Season 9
1941/42
Harrow were third in the table at the end of the winter but had to settle for sixth at the end of the season. Considering evacuations, work calls & the needs of the forces it was considered a good campaign. George Gunning was captain of the team. He was selected to represent the League X1 & scored a goal for them too.
Our record League Victory, 13-0 , occurred in our fixture at Handley Page, the scorers that day were Wiggins 6, Gunning, Hardre 2, Box 2 & Draper 2. That result still stands as a club record.
F. Hinch was the manager for most of the season, but he had to resign in May due to his A.R.P. duties.
