Form:
'Ayes are struggling as much as Boro in terms of form, with their last win coming on 24th October. Since then, a winless run of eleven games has seen them slip to third bottom.

Hayes & Yeading fan Corey Eaton-McKnight has kindly given his verdict on their rollercoaster of a season so far.

'The season started with high expectations and aspirations after keeping the core of the squad together from last season. However, with the retirement of manager Paul Hughes and losing the goals of Moses Emmanuel. It was never going to be that easy. Add to that, A a takeover bid collapsing and Ritchie Hanlon stepping down as first team manager,
reverting to his previous role under Hughes as assistant following an early FA Trophy exit to Bognor Regis Town. In came Mark Molesley who previously won this league with Weymouth'.

'We are winless at home since the reverse fixture in September and on the road since Basingstoke in October. Molesley has only tasted victory once with a record of played 13, won 1 drawn 6 lost 6. Underperforming'.

'The performances have been getting worse and have become a chore to turn up and watch. The players seem to be showing no fight unless it’s against the opposition when we receive a red card, and there is no cohesion on the pitch. You could hear a pin drop. The players know they can be excellent on their day, but that’s been far and few between. We know when confidence and belief is low it’s hard to get rid of that mentality. We’ve had an injury ravaged campaign, but that does not excuse the performances on the pitch'.

'Saying that, with the form guide, these players have failed one manager and are failing another. Would a managerial change do anything? Probably not. The only possible person who would get a tune out of these players is our manager who retired in the summer'.

'Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Keeping last season's squad was the right idea at the time given how we finished the campaign. Whether they believe they’re too good for Hayes & Yeading, or there is something going on behind the scenes, us fans will never know.

'I like Mark, approachable in person and clearly knows football. Friendly character, knows our club well too. I hope he can turn our fortunes around. Deep down, I still have faith we will find a win somewhere and it will kickstart a little run, before it’s too late. Maybe that’s just because it’s the wonderful game of football? Swindon Supermarine & Plymouth Parkway have done it. Dorchester, Didcot and Beaconsfield are starting to. Surely it’s our turn next?!

From a Boro perspective, Didcot's win over Winchester on Tuesday evening means we have (hopefully only temporarily) replaced them at the foot of the table going into Saturday's game.

Ones to Watch:
Corey's ones to watch are centre back Marvel Ekipetita, who joined from Dulwich Hamlet in October. His form has improved game by game and he has also captained the team well when usual skipper Sanmi Odelusi is unavailable.

Others to look out for are right sided defender/midfielder Cole Brown, who always works hard and is a danger when he gets forward. And Omar Rowe, who re-signed for Hayes in the summer and is their joint top scorer. Although he likes a booking as much as a goal, with ten yellows cards to his name so far this season.
