First half tries from Shay Turnbull and captain Caleb Tyers, aided by a Sam Ramsey conversion, saw them take a 12-0 lead into the break at the Darlington Arena.

Peterlee & Horden hit back with an unconverted try early on in the second period to reduce the arrears.

But further tries from Turnbull, Tyers and Mason Averre, all successfully converted by Ramsey, saw Pool pull clear to win the game 33-5.

This is a fantastic achievement and we congratulate all of the players and the coaching staff of Andrew Foreman, Des Hall, Vicki Hind & Peter Ramsey.

It was great to see such a big following travel through to Darlington and then join them back at Mayfield Park to continue the celebrations all afternoon and into the evening.

Well done to everyone involved. You've done your club, but more importantly, yourselves proud.

We're sure that this is just the start for a very talented squad.
