Bern and Carson, with 87 international caps between them, will be attending the U12 Girls Festival, hosted by us from 1pm to 4pm.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our club members and young players from across the region to meet two stars of the women's game.
Hartlepool U12 Girls Coach, Nicola Hunter, said: “We’re excited to welcome Sarah and Mackenzie to the club for the upcoming festival in February. There will be over 100 girls in attendance and it will be amazing to have two Red Roses with us.
"Girls’ rugby in the North East is thriving, and this is the perfect platform to celebrate that. We can’t wait to showcase the talent and enthusiasm not just in our own Under 12 squad, but also from the other clubs who are taking part.”
2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for women’s & girls rugby in England, with the Women's Rugby World Cup set to take place on home soil this Summer.
And it’s coming right to our doorstep with Sunderland’s Stadium of Light playing host to the Red Roses opening game of the tournament against USA on Friday 22nd August.
Hartlepool Rugby Club has teams for women and girls of all ages, and we’re always welcoming new players to join us. There’s no better time to get involved.
