Match Preview for Elite AFC away

Saturday 12th April, 3.00pm

On Saturday we travel to the Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre to take on Elite in Central Midlands Alliance action. As always, your support is greatly appreciated by everybody at the club. The address for the ground is Snydale Road, Cudworth, Barnsley, S72 8LH.

We currently sit in 10th position in the league table, with 36 points after 25 fixtures. On Tuesday we won 4-2 at home to Yorkshire Main, with Callum Edwards scoring twice, and the other Colliery goals coming from Joe Green and Harvey Walker. On Friday 4th April we drew 2-2 away at Doncaster City, with Mason Laws and Adam Morrison scoring. On Saturday 29th March we lost 1-0 away at Rossington Main Reserves. On Saturday 22nd March we away won 3-1 away at AFC Phoenix, with Adam Morrison scoring twice, and Callum Edwards getting the other Colliery goal. On Thursday 20th March we lost 1-0 against South Normanton Athletic in the final of the Abacus Lighting Floodlit Cup.

Our hosts currently sit in fourth position in the table, with 43 points from 28 fixtures. On Saturday they drew 2-2 away at Blidworth Welfare. On Saturday 22nd March they lost 3-1 away at Worksop Town Reserves. On Saturday 15th March they drew 1-1 away at Ollerton Town.

The two sides have met on three occasions in the league, with one fixture ending as a draw and Elite winning the other two. The sides also met on Saturday 2nd November with Colliery winning 5-3 away at Elite in the Buckingham Insurance League Cup, with Marley Alder scoring twice, and the other Colliery goals coming from Josh Bowkett, Callum Edwards and Charlie Reeve.
