Match preview ahead of tomorrow nights Bassetlaw Derby V St Josephs, thanks as ever Chris Forsyth

On Tuesday evening we welcome St Josephs to the Jones & Co Recreational Ground in Central Midlands Alliance action. We wish a warm welcome to all the players, officials, and supporters of St Josephs.

As always entry for the game is £3 for adults, £2 for concessions and free for members. Toms Tea Room will be open for refreshments and the Pavilion will be open for pre and post-match drinks. Also, the Shaft Side Bar will be open throughout the game for alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.

We currently sit in 14th position in the league table, with 19 points after our opening 20 fixtures. On Saturday we won 3-2 at home to Yorkshire Main, with Marley Alder, Will Collingwood and Adam Morrison scoring. On Tuesday 19th March we won 7-1 at home to Glapwell, with Will Gomes scoring twice and Marley Alder, Will Collingwood, Aaron Pickersgill, Harvey Walker and George Walton getting the other Colliery goals. On Saturday 16th March we won 1-0 away at Staveley Miners Welfare Reserves, with Marley Alder getting the only goal of the game. On Saturday 2nd March we lost 2-1 at home to Dinnington Town, with the Colliery goal coming courtesy of an own goal. On Tuesday 27th February we drew 1-1 at home to Hatfield Town, with Cam Till getting the Colliery goal.

St Joseph's Rockware of Worksop were a Worksop Sunday League team for 35 years
enjoying many successful seasons. In 2019 it was decided to move to Saturday football and
join the Central Midlands League with the aim to provide local Worksop players an
opportunity to play football at this level. We won the Central Midlands Division 1 in our *rst
season and was promoted to the Premier Division
Our visitors currently sit in seventh position in the table, with 29 points from 18 matches. On Saturday they won 3-0 at home to Woodhouse Colts, with Tom Mullen scoring twice and Charlie Baird adding the other goal. On Saturday 16th March they won 3-1 at home to Glapwell, with Lee Betts, Alex Boyd and Luke Tong scoring. On Wednesday 13th March they won 3-2 away at Rossington Main Reserves, with Charlie Baird getting a hat-trick.

The sides have previously met on four occasions, with Colliery winning two and losing the other two matches. The last time the sides met was on Saturday 15th April 2023, with Colliery winning 4-1 away at St Josephs. Josh Fraiwald got a hat-trick, with Adam Scott getting the other Colliery goal.

One to watch for St Josephs will be Tom Mullen. So far this season he has scored 13 times in 15 appearances.
