Having been in the East London League at Hackney Marshes for the last 11 years, Hatch Lane have now moved onto bigger pastures after the recent demolition of the ELBDSFL.

Having taken a year out of the game, Hatch Lane returned for the 2019/2020 season after a last minute decision from Kevin. The band we're back together again!! Unfortunately, the squad would be seperated as due to the level of competition in the ELBDSFL, a lot of our main playerss opted to dual register with teams in the H&L League for a year to test themselves against the elites. The plan for the season was to win all trophies this year & move to H&L League for the 200/2021 season & we we're well on course to do so prior to COVID.

Unfortunately we were unable to join the Hackney & Leyton League after the passing of our good friend & the life of the Marshes Jermaine Wright. He was always good to us even though we had never represented his league in the London Cup or faced any of the teams in his league's & one day we hoped that we'd finally cross over to the other side but it wasn't to be.

With the ruling from the FA shutting down all leagues across the country, we tried to contact Hackney & Leyton League to see if we could join them, to no avail however; we quickly saw that the level of competition in the Essex Corinthian League was picking up & a host of talented squads were making their way over & after a brief conversation with Mike (Referees Secretary), Player / Manger Kevin opted to take the chance & join the Senior Division with the understanding that he would be welcoming returning players from last season & finally be in position to mount a challenge on the London Cup
