The PSA travelled down to Berwick with only 16 players due to late call offs, although every effort was made to find replacements. This did not dampen the spirits of the young lads and on arrival spirits were high. The game started off well with PSA defending all that came towards them, Berwick looked sharp. A try stopping tackle made by Neil Renwick saved the PSA for another ten minutes. The game went back and forwards but Berwick scored just after 15 minutes. This game was very one sided in the first half with Berwick running in another two scores that were not converted taking the score to PSA 0 – 15 Berwick. The second half started well with the PSA running with the wind deep in the opponents territory, phase after phase the PSA run forward trying to break Berwick’s defence eventually a try is scored by Keiran Murphy, this re-enlightened the lads. Unfortunately a mistake pass let to a turn over ball and Berwick used the backs to run in another score that was converted taking the score to 22 – 5. The last 10 minutes of the game was played on Berwick’s 5 metre line with PSA getting penalty after penalty, although a high tackle by Berwick led to the injury of Lewis Stormont that ended that game.
