Hayes lost to Ickenham 12-34 in the cup final. On an afternoon where everything went against Hayes. Hayes started the stronger until on 15 mins Ickenham would benefit from the luck of the bounce to score 0-5 this fired up Ickenham and Hayes heads dropped. Ickenham would benefit twice more from lucky bounces to score 0-17, that is how it would stay at half time (0-17). The second half got under way and Hayes had picked their heads up and took the game to Ickenham. Hayes were camped on the Ickenham try line for a good 5mins before James Cook found a gap in the defense to score 5-24. Ickenham hit back with three more tries’ making it 5-34 with 10 mins left to play. Hayes ended the game with a well worked team try finished by Chris Wells. James Cook converted and the game finished Hayes 12-34 Ickenham.
