Wooden Spoon - the children’s charity of rugby - works with schools and other organisations focusing on children and young people disadvantaged by their learning difficulties and disabilities.
With every penny of the funds raised in Sussex (almost £300k so far) going to projects across Sussex, it makes an enormous difference to the lives of those helped in our local area, as well as to the image of the game. Wooden Spoon is looking to extend its work further at the world’s premier rugby event in Brighton in September.
Wooden Spoon Sussex warmly invites you to their World Cup fundraising events, especially if you have tickets for the two games at the Brighton Community Stadium in September.
There is a pre match lunch before the South Africa v Japan game on Saturday September 19th and a pre match breakfast/brunch before the Samoa v USA game on Sunday September 20th. Both events are at the University of Sussex, with parking available on site and just ten minutes walk from the Stadium. A fantastic opportunity to make your day of rugby even better with nearby hospitality and parking.
