Sam decided to make a move up to Essex side, Billericay Town in which he picked up 17 appearances and with a number of impressive displays it gained him a move back to Woking FC.

Beasant shared his goalkeeping duties with Chris Day however on the opening match of the season at home to Hartlepool united he was chosen to start and kept a clean sheet on his debut. Sam went onto make a further 7 appearances over the course of the season before being released. League football didn’t stop there for Beasant as he was swiftly snapped up by fellow league 2 side, Cambridge United where he signed a 1-year deal. Sam appeared 15 times in the 4th tier of English football before being released at the end of the season.

The following season Sam was in between the sticks for National league side, Braintree Town where he made 28 appearances for ‘The Iron’ but despite his attempts they were relegated into the National league South.

Sam started the 2017/18 season with Chelmsford City, he was a regular name on the team sheet for the ‘Clarets’ and by the end of the season he’d appeared 35 times for them, helping them to the play off semi final where they lost to Hampton and Richmond Borough.
