P4 at Edinburgh v Ulster

P4 at Edinburgh v Ulster

Richard Forbes4 Sep 2015 - 09:31

A fun session plus some competitive action with Watson's

As well as acting as Guard of Honour for the Edinburgh vs Ulster match , some of the P4's had a joint training session with the Watsonian P4's led by the Edinburgh Rugby coaches. Perhaps unaware of the rivalry involved, a full contact game was the finale of the session, the first tackling game for some of those involved.

Despite being heavily outnumbered by 12 playing 8, the Heriots boys ran out deserved winners by 4 tries to 1 - notable performances by Jake Heller and Sam Northridge but overall a fantastic performance from all the kids. Chucking themselves at tackles with little fear or apprehension, attacking with flair and strength it was great to watch and hopefully bodes well for the new season.

To cap off a great evening the boys had a Q & A session with Sam Hidalgo Clyne of Edinburgh and Scotland before greeting the teams to the field with their Guard of Honour.

Some photos are in the gallery, thanks to Dave Northridge.
