After drawing last week and passing up the chance to wrap the league title up against Sumners it now came down to a shoot out between the top two as Hertford Heath hosted Waltham Abbey B at Trinity Road.

After winning 2-0 away earlier in the season some may have thought this would have been some what of a formality but Waltham Abbey had other ideas and took the lead leaving the Heath faithful on the side lines thinking will the boys ever wrap the title up but the players had other ideas.

The players have shown through the season their collective strength and once again this came through with 2 goals to put them in the lead and on the verge of another trophy for the collection. Waltham Abbey battled well though and right in the last seconds grabbed an equaliser to finish with a 2-2 draw which although not the perfect result was enough to clinch the Division 1 title for the Heath.

Attentions now turn to the County Cup Final against Tring Athletic A on Friday 19th April at the Letchworth County Ground, Kick off 3pm.
