A momentous occasion today as finally at long last the lads managed to not only take a lead in the league but held onto it and won a game convincingly 4-0.
Since last January the lads have toyed with us all taking the lead in so many league games but never holding onto it, until today.
Buoyed on by recent results in the last 2 friendlies the team showed a new found confidence as they played a return fixture against Marple who had inflicted a 5-1 defeat on us in the opening fixture of this season.
Brad opened the scoring with a well placed shot low into the bottom corner , next to score was Harry S, Elliot having earned a free kick on the left hand edge of the box up stepped Seymour with a trademark strike into the top corner.

On into the second half, Marple kept pushing trying to find a way back into the game, but the defence held strong marshalled by Isaac with a man of the match performance, breaking attacks up and using the ball well.
Brad got his second using his head and nodding home a corner putting the result beyond all doubt, before Kaine finished off the scoring scrambling the ball home after a great passing move where he found himself alone in front of goal.
A great team performance today throughout the whole game and one which has been long overdue, onwards now to 2016, lets show what we can really do in this league now.
