Highworth Town 2 Hereford Pegasus 0

Weds 27
After 2 successive home league draws Highworth got back to winning ways at the SaveOn Tyres Stadium on Saturday with a comfortable win over Hereford Pegasus.
After earlier failing to produce a telling cross from the right when visiting keeper Jensen Kilroy was out of position Connor Mattimore redeemed himself on 16 minutes with a fine ball into the box which allowed Leon Morrison to tap in on 16 minutes. Although the home side dominated the attacking possession there were no further clear cut chances as HT was reached with the home side still leading by a single goal.
The 2nd half followed a similar pattern with Highworth failing to take advantage of the clear superiority going forward. Kilroy made a couple of decent saves to prevent Highworth extending their lead but the game was finally sealed in the 88th minute. Sol Pryce ran from deep to collect the ball down the left hand side and cut in to score with a delightful chip over Kilroy. Great reward for an afternoon of hard work at both ends of the pitch for the Highworth player.
FT 2-0
