With rain forecast Hindhead won the toss and batted first away to Elstead. They got off to a steady start with opener Joe Harrison making a solid 33, number 3 Jack Hamilton typically aggressive for his 24 (6 boundaries) and Ali McGregor contributing 15. However good bowling from A Moisin (2-68), A Imran (2-44) and in particular W Ali (4-43) saw the away side slump first to 100-6, then 130-7. Good contributions from the lower order, led by an excellent 36 from David Babb, well assisted by Harry Stokes (14) Pradip Gore (20) and brother Mark (16*) saw Hindhead up to 189-9, either side of an early tea, from the full 48 overs.
Following the end of the innings the rain set in and no further play was possible as the match was abandoned. Another great effort with the bat from Hindhead, who continue to show their strength in depth with contributions throughout the order.
