We have in recent weeks had instances where teams have not known their pitch/changing room allocations,kick off times, etc and this has caused confusion with wrong pitches being set up, etc. so I thought it would be worthwhile just going over where all the information is and how it is decided.

Kick off Times

Our standard league kick off time for 7s - 15s is 10.30, with our 16s kicking off at 11.45. This obviously gives us a massive imbalance with potentially 9 10.30 kick offs and 1 11.45 kick off so we requested league permission to kick off our 15s at 11.45 this season which we were given. Next year I would envisage we will do the same giving us 15s,16s,18s to share the 11.45 spots.

At the start of each week, we see how many home teams we have and amend the kick off times as needed. 12-16s will take priority as they have league appointed referees and often refs are asked to double up and take consecutive games in a morning. Quite simply, the other junior teams have to fit in around this formula.

If we have four teams at home we would go with 2 games at 10.30 and 2 at 11.45. If we have more we utilise 10.00, 10.45 and 12.00 kick offs.By Tuesday evening at the latest, I will amend each team fixtures page with their given kick off time along with pitch and changing room allocations. All you have to do to access this information is either click on your fixture on the main home page or via your teams individual page , clicking on the fixture.

Pitch Allocations

We now have five potential pitches to play on and we are now renaming them so all are aware of what they are :

Darby Lane Mini Pitch (Rarely Used Now) -

Mini Pitch & 3/4 Pitch - These two pitches have been created from the old middle pitch and the mini will be used for 7/8/9s and the 3/4 pitch for 10/11/12s.

Darby Lane Pitch - Full size pitch used for all ages 13s upwards.

Main Pitch - Full size pitch with dugouts and all round barriers, we use this for our Open Age games and therefore try to limit its use if possible on a Sunday.

YOUR PITCH ALLOCATION WILL BE SHOWN ON YOUR FIXTURE PAGE

When you know your pitch allocation, then its good practice to check if later teams are using the same pitches as you might not need to "take it down" if its being used again.

Changing Room Allocations

These again are shown by clicking the fixture. Changing rooms will be allocated 45 minutes before your kick off time for a period of 30 minutes. So if you are kicking off at 10.30, you will have changing rooms from 9.45-10.15, if kicking off at 11.45 it will be 11.00-11.30, etc.
After the game you will be allocated the changing rooms for 30 minutes to shower and change and we allocate them 45 mins after for ages up to 10, then an hour after for 11s - 13s and 75 minutes after for 14/15/16s. I will also show, if you have to bag up in your changing rooms if there are other teams using them, why you are out playing.

Obviously all this information, especially the changing room timings and "bagging up" must be relayed to your opponents.
