It's been a long time coming but Valley finally return to action this Saturday (06 April) when they make the short trip to Wortley RUFC, our first ever visit to the Yorkshire Merit Table club.

It'll still be a makeshift team for Valley as Andy Woodall, Anselm Waring, and Innes MacLeod have all announced their retirements, George Watts, Matt Keeley and Steve West are still on the long-term injured list, Steve Barnes, Ben Pearson and James Williams are all unavailable whilst Pat Coupar has moved to pastures new.

There's still a long way to go before the Club re-establishes itself, but every long journey starts with a small step and Saturday is hopefully the first of those.
