Tomorrow we host Jarrow FC in what is a massive day for the club. It could well be our last ever game at the Welfare Park and we're hoping for a big crowd to show that Horden Colliery Welfare Football Club are an instrumental part of the local community.
It would be great to see you there supporting the lads in what could well be a historic day.
Admission is priced at £3 Adults and £1.50 for Concessions on the gate and programmes will be available just as you come through the gate priced at just £1. Inside this weeks edition of 'The Collier' you'll find full-back John Pyle giving his answers about his team-mates as well as the usual columns and activities you'd find. It looks as though we'll have a fairly strong squad to choose from with only Chris Davidson being a certain absentee from the side as he still sits out his suspension he picked up watching a Sunday League game!
we come into the game looking to correct what went wrong at Spennymoor Town Reserves last week. Jarrow didn't have a game last week so they'll be coming into the affair with fresh legs. The South Tynesiders currently sit 10th in the league, 9 points behind Horden so we expect a tough competitive affair.
We hope to see you there as part of a very healthy crowd and lets do the village proud!
