Leading 1-0 at half time from an early goal Withernsea and Saints fought out an even first half. The second half Withernsea took the game by the scruff of the neck using a kick and rush counter which saw them add to their tally from the penalty spot, George Acklam tripping the winger. Then a high lofted punt towards goal from their own half remarkably saw Withernsea take a 3-0 lead.
Saints were enjoying most of the ball and eventually scored through Eric Onyeka (his first for the club) with an angled drive into the corner of the net from 20 yards and a second by the same player at the back post. Hull Saints continued to press for more but Withernsea held out for the three points.

Next week Saints were due to play Spread Eagle at home but the club have folded and therefore receive a bye to the next round. The following Saturday is a rest week, the fixtures for November are not yet posted.
