JJ opened the scoring but Lambeth Tigers responded soon after to level the tie. JJ scored again to make it 2-1 when he volleyed in a long throw from Matthew Newberry. Minutes before half time Danny Imray won a penalty and calmly converted.

Lambeth started the second half with real intent and quickly scored but when Kai Stephens converted at the far post Ilford settled and controlled the game. Danny Imray made it 5 - 2 with a long range freekick.
