Well done to Wales for qualifying for the Euros but its now up to the best team in Wales to show what they can do on a saturday.
Let's hope the rain stays away as last week's junior programme was a wash out. Some games were played and the youth continued their good run with an emphatic 7-1 home win against Brynna FC. Goals from Josh Davies (2), Matt Lowrie (2), Tim Belby, Harry Birch and Taylor Miller claimed the three 3 ponits, which puts Steve Normans boys top of the youth League.
The firsts finally played their second round senior cup against Church Village at Maslin and put in a fine performance to win 4-2, goals from Keir McInery, Rhys Hopkins and Adam Owens(2) saw the boys progress to round 3 where they will entertain LLantwit Fadre at Maslin. This will be a tough test for the boys as the vistors are in the Alliance league , which is a league above the Vale league and will be a good test for this young side.
The seconds also bounced back with a great 4-2 win at home to St Athan 'B', goals from Jamie Rogers (2), Nathan Tucker secured the three points and got the boys back to winning ways, which they hope will continue against SP Billy this saturday.
The big game in the Junior section is the U15's top of the table clash with Cowbridge Reds at Corntown. JP's side will need to be on top form to inflict the first defeat of the season for Cowbridge and keep the dream alive of winning their second league title in successive years.
Good luck to all our teams and enjoy the game. ONE TEAM
