Our 1st Team Finally Registered A Win, and did it in style......

This major milestone was achieved with a 1 - 0 win over at Aylesbury

The team performance was impressive, not conceding a goal as well as scoring one is vital if we are to start climbing the table.

After a fairly even first few minutes The Greens stated to take the game to their hosts and although chances were far and few between it was certainly the visitors that were having the better of them.

Brad Singh in particular was finding space down the left flank and that was causing problems for the Moles defence.

The goal came in the 9th minute, Singh played the ball into the path of Ben Willoughby and the midfielder fired a fierce shot past keeper Nick Bennion before he could blink.

So Kidlington led, first time I could say that this season, and they deserved the lead.

There were no further clear cut chances for either side before the break, in fact Kiddy keeper Sam Warrell was only really called into action once in the whole of the first half. On that occasion he dived full length to turn a dipping shot away from goal.

Into the second half and it was Kidlington taking up the batten once again in the early exchanges, however it wasn't long before Aylesbury realised they had to push on and threw extra players forward. They then continuously hit long balls up to them, much to the annoyance of the home supporters as Kidlington's defence were able to deal with this tactic quite admirably.

In truth their were few scares for Sam Warrell in the Kidlington goal, he was able to keep his first clean sheet of the season and as Skiiper lead his side to their first 3 point haul.

Manager Ady Fuller should be well please at the performance of his his re-vamped team, who now look able to complete on level terms with other sides in this division. There were some very good individual performances on the field yesterday afternoon and it looks like good things are just around the corner now.

We move on to play Didcot Town away in the Southern League Challenge Cup this Tuesday evening, kick off 7:45pm at Loop Meadow.
