Grove are off to Trafford this weekend hoping for three more points.

Kidsgrove Athletic head to Trafford this weekend as they look to continue their impressive league form.

They're currently six games unbeaten, and the last time the Grove lost in the league was back on the 15th January, when they lost 3-0 at Prescot Cables. Since then, Kidsgrove have taken points from league leaders Warrington Rylands as well as playoff chasing Clitheroe and Marine amongst others.

Trafford are another side chasing a spot in the end of season playoffs. The side, managed by Danny Caldecott, currently occupy 8th place in the Northern Premier League West Division table. They're coming into the game off the back of a fantastic 2-1 win over Mossley last weekend.

Trafford also won the reverse fixture back in September. The Manchester-based side ran out 2-0 winners at the Autonet Insurance Stadium with goals from Alfie Belcher and a late penalty from Matty Morgan.

Manager Scott Dundas is hoping to keep the unbeaten run going.

He said: "We've just got to keep on this run now. It's like six undefeated in the league, which we never thought would come a month or so ago.

"The lads are all working hard, and consistently having the same eleven always helps every team.

"So long may that continue."

Meanwhile, Kyle Diskin said: "I don't know how Trafford are doing this season, but they're a normally decent side. They are always up there for the playoffs.

"We will go there and try and get all three points."
