REPORT:
A reaction was called for after last weekend's outing & we definitely got that in the first half storming out of the tracks & grabbing three fantastic goals, Kearns & Delaney powering home some well worked set pieces & Ben Finnegan getting his first in a long time from a low 20 yard drive. Going in at the break it looked good but as expected we knew the visitors would come at us from the restart. The question was could we handle it ? unfortunately the answer was no as we continued to concede some very soft goals from our point of view which got them back into this encounter. Incredibly they grabbed a third six minutes later & the hard work we put in in the first half was thrown right out the window. It was back & forth with both sides looking to take the lead, when it came it was the visitors who got it?!!! We pushed onwards very much shell shocked but unlike previous weeks we just couldn't bounce back from this ? Like any team we can take defeat but this one was our own doing... it's something we seriously need to question, dissect, learn & recover from then never let happen again as we go about asking ourselves just what type of team are we ?
