⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪ Premier 1 League Result: SCORE: Kilnamanagh AFC 1-0 Kingswood Castle FC REPORT: Derby Day defeat for us but we deserved so much more from this game. It was our best performance of this campaign that saw us with some excellent possession working our way into their final third & chances created with Dillon, Bracken & Conor Murray all making the Goalkeeper work as he pushed their shots over the bar, our just rewards just didn't come in the first half. Chance of the half was when Striker Conor Murray had a glorious chance when he was put through but he skewed his shot just wide. It was even going at the break. GoalKeeper Darren Kelly pulled off two outstanding saves one from a point blank range header as the home sides Striker looked to have put them ahead only for 'The Chopper' to push it onto the crossbar at the start of the second half. Striker Paul Bracken was chopped down inside the penalty area five minutes later but somehow the referee waved play on to everyone's amazement!!! It looked like a single goal would win this encounter & the home side grabbed it with 20 minutes to go. A shuffle in our system saw us commit more men forward & set plays gave us a number of opportunities but it simply never fell for us. In the end we can take massive pride from this game but untilmately this defeat is a hard one to take. Credit to this Squad especially man of the match Christy Costigan who was unbelievable at right full in what was his first start of the season. Overall sometimes you just don't get what you deserve in this game. Thanks to Kilnamanagh AFC & we look forward to seeing them again later on in the season #thecastle⚫⚪⚽
