⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪ LFA Junior Cup Result: SCORE: Beech Park FC 2-3 Kingswood Castle FC GOALS: Allen Haverty ⚽ Ross Molloy ⚽ Adam Mooney ⚽ REPORT: Our first game of the new year saw us with an early kick off in what were cold conditions, up against a big strong outfit in Beech Park. It took us awhile to settle back into a rhythm with match sharpness missing due to a long lay off, but two goals after the half hour mark one a piece from Allen Haverty & then Ross Molloy put us in a comfortable position, but before the half time break we conceded a penalty which made our half time team talk more interesting. At the start of the second half we unbelievably conceded another penalty which made the game level at 2-2!! Que Manager Owen Hamilton who had a full strength bench to choose from, he made the tactical switches that were necessary & those substitutions did exactly that, regaining control of the game & pushing for the winning goal. A good last ditch defending from the home side kept it level but we weren't to be denied as Adam Mooney smashed home from close range in the 88th minute to put us into the next round of the Cup, a trip to Wexford awaits.
