⚫? ⚫? ⚫? ⚫? ⚫? Premier 1 League Result: SCORE: Kingswood Castle FC 0-1 Kilnamanagh AFC REPORT: A fascinating Derby unfolded in Ballymount Park in a game that had everything you expect, a big crowd where definitely entertained with thunderous challenges.. goal scoring chances & two teams that refused to let the other an advantage. We started the better testing the Keeper from a long Alex Murray shot then when Striker Casey cut inside his defender he couldn't sort his feet out as he screwed his chance wide of the post, this was a massive opportunity. The visitors came into the game on the half hour mark looking to get in behind our back line but Darren Kelly in Goal was alert to clear up any danger. There were two excellent battles down both flanks with Raymond & Bracken linking up with Dunne & Dillon in the middle but the final ball let us down on a number of occasions. Bracken was caught in the box but strangely a penalty wasn't given by the Referee?!!! Like all of this season the opportunities came & went, then we were punished like previous games in this campaign, one mistake saw us go a goal down before the half time interval. Second half we pushed forward with Dillon now in a more advanced role which saw his link up play go up another level, the game was now stretched space become available for Redmond to exploit down the right hand side, his deliveries caused Kilnamanagh's back line problems as we looked to get back into this game. The visitors soaked up the pressure protection their lead but we're experienced enough to know when to counter attack. Another effort from Murray was smothered & Dillon's shot was blocked. Last ten minutes we threw everything at them including our bench but we just couldn't find that opening as we dwelled missed chances. We couldn't have asked anymore of our lads it just wasn't our day, the performance like every game is outstanding but we've just not got our just rewards, a quick turn around sees us welcome St. Ita's AFC this Monday night in our first mid week game in this run in. We wish Kilnamanagh AFC the very best of luck for the rest of their campaign #thecastle⚫⚪⚽
