⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪⚫⚪ Leinster Senior Major 1D League Result: SCORE: Kingswood Castle FC 2-2 Palmerstown FC GOALS: Brandon Miele ⚽ Allen Haverty ⚽ REPORT: A game of two halves if ever there was one, then it was this encounter ? a first half too forget from our perspective with alot of credit going to the visitors who where simply at it from the get go. In a low defensive block they sat in looking to counter us which saw us fall behind after ten minutes. We didn't create much of an attacking threat even when we did venture into the last third, the majority of possession was ours but we just couldn't trouble their Goalkeeper with some wayward shooting Our own Keeper Josh Smith kept it at one with a smashing finger tipped save over the crossbar from a headed. It was a warning & five minutes before the break they did grab a second goal that put the away side in the driving seat. A woeful half to watch & be involved in ? We where happy to hear the half time whistle so our Management Team could get the Squad in & have some words. This worked as straight after the interval from the first whistle we finally turned up, that bite & desire which was badly missing was there, rushing out closing down & forcing our opposition into mistakes, some brilliant football played that pinned & suffocated their defense who played a high line. It turned out to be a busy half for Palmerstown Goalkeeper. Striker Brandon Miele cut in from the left to fire home a cracking low drive, he linked up with Alex Murray five minutes later but his shot cannoned off his own player to go wide when it looked a certain goal. Chances came thick & fast Skipper Alex Rafferty had his headed corner tipped over the bar & Meile was causing their back line trouble with his runs. Alex Murray was the game changer showing how key his contribution to the side is, the push for an equalizer continued & our just rewards came in the final ten minutes as Meile running onto a pass fired the ball towards goal & top Goalscorer Allen Haverty outrageously deflected the ball in. We pushed for the winner & nearly got it with Haydon Boland seeing his long half volley pushed away, in the end a shared point but it could of been none.
