Division 4 League Result: SCORE: Kingswood Castle FC 1-2 Rathcoole FC GOAL: Leah Kerslake REPORT: Our Ladies first ever competetive League game & what an spectical it was, in front of a bumper big crowd they saw some outstanding football played as we dominated the ball for the first 30 minutes but we just couldn't find that final pass in the last third to test their Goalkeeper ? Rathcoole's first effort on goal saw them take an unjust lead but our Ladies never shyed away as they continued to play the better football. Just before the break we got the Goal which our play richly deserved as Striker Leah Kerslake cooly tucked home her effort just inside the six yard box. 1-2 down at half time the second half was much of the same, good chances created but finishing was just off. Our very own Shot Stopper Debs Boyd put in a Player of the Match performance as she time & again when called upon pulled off some excellent saves throughout this encounter ? It finished in defeat but we felt we deserved something out of this game ? it wasn't meant to be unfortunately. Plenty of positives to take & we can't be prouder of this Squad of Players along with our Manager & Coaching Team as there is so much more to come from all. Rest up Ladies & we go again.
