Teepee accomodation, Sheriff's on duty, Crucifixes held, Exfoliating on the beach, all in a Loon Team Building Sesh

The weekend past saw a group of 1st/2nd XV players take to the Teepee's on lantau for Team Building activities and bants, organised by the ever-honest Alex Hicky Hickling.

The day started with a hike from DB to Mui Wo (for some...) before a quick stop off at the China Bear for bevs and Argentinian Steak purchases from the local butcher, to the delight of Nacho and Roddy (Snr Pinocchio).

Then once the storms passed, Man of the Islands Condom Robinson's preditcions ringing true, the boys arrived at Palm Beach Teepee Resort fully loaded with food and adequate refreshments.

To the group's surprise a lonely figure was spotted in the water struggling with what appeared to be a large sea bearing serpent, until we ventured closer to see it was Alex Harris attempting to entertain the masses on the beach with his surfing skills! Fortunately we had a pro amongst us, with Steven Westington West managing to catch a few rippers, unfortunately none of the boys were watching and missed all the action.

Next up came the Games, with Pat Foreman introducing some team bonding events including the world's most difficult plastic ball conversions and the worlds easiest game of keepy uppy! Fortunately the Tie-Breaker, soon to be olympic sport of 'Catchy Catchy Throw Throw' lived up to all the hype, with Captain Nacho and his team victorious due to some average to poor catching and throwing ability from Club captain Matt Stockdale.

The losing team took over the cooking skills at Barbie time, where we were introduced to the Sheriff (Sheharaya Ahmad) from the 'best business school in Pakistan', who proceeded to provide compelling tales of days gone by and ensured all at the camp were thoroughly looked after! And then.....

As the food came out in droves, superbly cooked by the Argies with the help of 'fake-Australian' Dave Keast, the refreshments flowed, with a cheeky court session and games, with the likes of Gunther keeping spirits high. The Sheriff of Bottingham continued on his merry way, dealing with all outlaws in only the way a Sheriff can, even at the Fines Circle.

Once all the outlaws had been jailed, and the moon was at it's fullest, Adam Dehaty led a beach exfoliation session, David Tait provided the music and Chris McAdam was crucified by Duncan Pollock, Alex Harris and Nick Smith.

By now, the lads were in need of sleeping bags and with the morning approaching ventured to the nights accomodation, more humid for some than others, before packing up in the morning and making a sharp exit to the comfort of home.

A brilliant weekend, with big thanks to Alon for putting the time in to organise and to all the boys that came along.
