Laleham entered this Quarter Final County Cup tie having not played a competitive game in 5 weeks, making the result even more special to all involved at the club.

AFC Spelthorne are a really well run club and we were more than happy to give up our own home advantage and move the game to their Ashford sports complex. Despite the terrible weather of late, the pitch was in impressive condition and most importantly it was flat.

Laleham went ahead twice with AFC Spelthorne bringing themselves back into the game on both occasions but it was the impressive Michael Dart who headed in the winner from a fantastic Matt Adams cross to hand a 3-2 victory to the Badgers!

Next up is a long awaited return to the Lucan Pavilion in the League against Chiddingfold who stunned fellow league challengers University of Surrey 2-0 this weekend.
