Curtis Anderson signs for The Dolly Blues

Lancaster City are delighted to announce the capture of goalkeeper Curtis Anderson from Wycombe Wanderers (subject to FA approval).

The 21-year-old, a former Manchester City man, won the u17 World Cup with England back in 2017, playing in the final against Spain. He went on to play in the USA for Charlotte Independence before switching back to the UK with Wycombe Wanderers.

Following his departure from Wycombe, City boss Mark Fell swooped to secure the young star's signature and has told us that this is a major coup for the club:

“We’ve got an unbelievable goalkeeper here, once we knew there was a chance he’d be moving on from Wycombe we moved quickly to ensure we got the deal over the line. Curtis is still young but has played in a major tournament and had experience of non-league football on loan. This is likely to be a stepping stone back into the full-time game for him, but he gives us stability in the GK department for the next 16 games and that’s critical. His experience, albeit at a young age, will help our other young keepers at the club and I know Mark Thornley is excited to work with him.”

Curtis is cleared to play in tomorrow nights game against Grantham at Giant Axe.
