George had a brief spell in Dolly Blue under Peter Ward and went on to have an illustrious non-league career including a NWCFL title win under our manager Mark Fell.

Sadly George, at just 36 has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. There is a fundraising page been set-up to support George and the Giant Axe will be one of the stops for a charity bike ride in May, where Mark Fell will be joined by ex-Kendal manager Lee Ashcroft as they visit all of George’s ex clubs over 3 days, covering 250 miles.
