Background: With the Dolly Blues back in training, their first pre-season fixture comes in the shape of AFC Fylde. The Coasters will travel to the Giant Axe on the 5th July within scheduled kick off time of 7:00PM. The Coasters are familiar opponents to Lancaster City as Paul Jarvis scored a quick fire double against them to ensure Lancaster City’s place in the next round of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy in 2023/24. Last term, the Coasters finished 18th in the National League, narrowly avoiding relegation to the National League North.

Background: A second consecutive home fixture comes when Altrincham visit the Giant Axe on 13th July. Fans will be familiar with the Robins as this fixture was introduced last term. A singular goal from triallist Aaron Bennett earned Lancaster a 1 - 0 success. The Robins had an impressive season last term as they finished inside the Play-Offs in fourth. Alty were defeated by eventual promotion winners Bromley but are well-placed for another promotion bid.

Background: After several years of Dolly Blues clamouring for a pre-season away trip, Chris Willcock secured Lancaster City a trip to the Isle of Man in the Summer Festival of Football. On 20 July at 2pm, Lancaster will face Radcliffe. 'Boro also had a successful season last term as their dominance was rewarded with promotion to Vanarama National League North. The two sides were involved in two highly competitive fixtures last season with nine goals scored across the two games.

Background: Only a day after facing Radcliffe, Lancaster City will face another National League North outfit in Chester FC with the game kicking off at 11am. The Seals have been plying their trade in Step 2 of the Non-League pyramid since 2019. Last term, Chester finished in 10th position, securing their place in the division for another season. The last competitive meeting between the two sides came in November 2022 in the Isuzu FA Trophy. Despite taking the lead in the 40th minute through Sam Bailey, the Seals progressed Into the next round with a 2 - 1 win.

Background: Following on from a trip to the Isle of Man, Lancaster City will embark on their travels to Wincham Park to face Witton Albion. Albion are members of the Northern Premier League Division One West where they just missed out on a Play-Off campaign on goal difference last term. Last season, Albion and the Dolly Blues met in Emirates FA Cup Second Round Qualifying, which Lancaster City won two goals to one.

Background: The penultimate fixture in the schedule comes when Lancaster City travel to Clitheroe for a Tuesday evening game. Much like the Altrincham fixture, City also travelled to Shawbridge last season to play an eventful pre-season friendly, which saw Lancaster City come out 2 - 3 winners. The Blues participate in the same division as Witton Albion and they ended their campaign one spot behind Albion in seventh.

Background: Lancaster City’s challenging pre-season schedule comes to an end when League Two outfit Accrington Stanley travel to the Giant Axe. Last season, Stanley endured a tough time in the Football League as they finished 17th, avoiding relegation to the National League by 15 points. Accrington's first team will be on show, giving Chris Willcock a stern test ahead of the Pitching In NPL Premier Division campaign. Stanley and the Dolly Blues have twice gone to multiple replays in cup competitions, in 1937 it took two replays to separate the sides in the FA Cup and in 1985's FA Trophy, it took three replays in the preliminary round.
