Lancaster City can announce the second signing of the day, defender Jamie Mellen. Having come through Everton's youth ranks, Mellen moved to Workington and then went on to Holker Old Boys.

On signing, Jamie gave LCFC Media his thoughts upon signing for Lancaster City. "I know a few of the lads and they all have great reputations as footballers", he said of his teammates. "Mark got in touch with me and I think his ambitions for the season sound really strong and that's something I look forward to."

Jamie Mellen is another ambitious addition to Mark Fell's side which has already undergone notable changes in personnel over the summer window. He is comfortable at both centre-back and left-back, strengthening both positions and adding to an already reputable defence.
