Lancaster City are pleased to announce that Simon Grand has joined the club from Charnock Richard.

the veteran centre back counts Rochdale, Carlisle United, Morecambe, Fleetwood Town, Southport, Barrow, AFC Fylde and Chester as former sides before making the move to North West Counties side in the summer of 2022

Upon his move Grand said the ambition of the club was a driving factor behind the move "I'm at that stage of my career where I want to win things, I want to be successful. Speaking to the manager and the ambition of the club and where they want to be, so yeah [it was] an easy decision"

Simon made his first appearance in the 3-2 pre-season victory away at Clitheroe.

The move is subject to league and FA approval.
