Warrington Rylands:
In their last outing, Rylands were beaten at Gorsey Lane by Whitby Town courtesy of Joseph Gibbons 76th minute strike. Rylands have endured a difficult start to the new campaign after losing the opening three matches, sitting second bottom only ahead of Morpeth Town.
Last term, Rylands secured play off football despite losing manager Michael Clegg to Macclesfield. During their play off campaign, Rylands were faced with the eventual victors Marine who went on to beat their former manager in the final. In the fixtures last season, Rylands failed to beat Lancaster City as they were held to a scoreless draw at the Giant Axe before two superb strikes fro David Norris and Tom Kilifin secured a Dolly Blue victory at Gorsey Lane.
Lancaster City:
Chris Willcock’s side are back at home after two long away trips to Workington and Blyth Spartans. After picking up two points, City will feel as though they could have had four. Christian Sloan gave the Dolly Blues the led after ten minutes in Northumberland after lobbing the goalkeeper Harrison Bond before Billy Gordon equalised after 78 minutes. In between the two goals, Lancaster City struck the woodwork countless times failing to add to their margin.
Chris Willcock has been handed a new addition to his squad for the visit of Warrington Rylands as Aaron Bennet joins from FC United. Bennett was previously named as a Trialist for City at the beginning of last season. Unfortunately, Jamie Mellen will be absent from the match day squad as he recovers from the injury he sustained in the draw against Workington.
