Prescot Cables
‘Cables’ were promoted from the NPL Division One West last season via the playoffs and are playing their first season at this level for 15 years. Ste Daley’s side are 16th in the table and, eight games in, have won two, drawn two and lost four. They got their first home win of the season last week with a 1-0 victory over Blyth Spartans. Fan favourite Jack Goodwin recently re-signed for the club from Marine for a second spell, having played a crucial role in their promotion-winning season.
Lancaster City
The Dolly Blues will be hoping for a third consecutive win on Tuesday night after 2-1 victories away to Gainsborough Trinity and at home to Stockton Town. They are now seventh in the NPL Premier Division and remain unbeaten in the league, having won three and drawn five of their eight matches. Dom Lawson and Nic Evangelinos will be hoping to add to their tallies - they are both on three goals for the season, with Lawson having scored in both of the last two games and Evangelinos scoring a peach of a goal against Stockton Town last week, which proved to be the winner.
