With the new season just over 3 months away, Lancaster have acquired the services of Indian all-rounder, Siddhesh Warghante.
I managed to catch up with Siddesh and get an insight into who he is as a cricketer and what we can expect over the summer from the 25-year-old.
This is his first time playing overseas cricket and I asked what challenges he expects to face during his time here.
"I think my main challenge will be the climate that we're going to be playing in."
Siddhesh will have to call on his lengthy experience when getting accustomed to the conditions over here.
He began playing cricket at the age of 7 and has captained at all age groups and also has a first-class appearance for Maharashtra.
Warghante is a player who enjoys the pressure.
"I love to take responsibility and win games for my team."
When asked about his favourite innings he recalled a game against Punjab, where his team were bowled out for 201 but he stood firm with an impressive 101.
Like so many of his compatriots, his favourite player is Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
"I love his attitude towards the game and captaincy."
Siddhesh comes across as a very likable and approachable guy, whose love for the game is evident.
Siddhesh told me he only has 1 goal during his time over here.
"My only goal will be winning matches for my team."
