Its the end of another season and what a season it has been for Larne RFC!
Larne 1st XV
Larne 1sts had a generous share of ups and some downs over the past season. Captained by James McCluggage and coach Laurence Kelly.
Unfortunately losing to Carrick in the Hawkins Cup over 2 legs and pipped to the league by season rivals Holywood but winning the following:
Winning the Moore Cup at Randalstown 15s Tournament
Winning Gordon West Cup - beating Holywood 29-12
Winning the Plate at Carrick 7s Tournament
2nd XV
2nd XV also enjoyed a very good season, captained by Stephen Johnston, in which they topped the table including the performance of the season at home against Ballynahinch, before being beaten away by the league winners Hinch away to stay a deserved 2nd place runners up and promotion into Junior League 1.
Home win against Ballynahinch:
2nd XV team v Portadown:
3rd XV
Larne 3rds saw a massive improvement in not only performance but the number of players that turned out week by week and at training. Their superb efforts over the season saw them through to the Butler Shield final in which they were edged out by Malone in a highly entertaining game.

The youth rugby of Under 13s, 15s and 17s is improving each week and numbers continuing to grow.

Mini Rugby
The mini rugby now sees over 100 kids come out every Saturday morning in all elements to enjoy fun. Many thanks and congratulations go out to all of the coaches, parents and volunteers that help flourish the vital sport at such a young age.
One of the many highlights of the season for the mini rugby was the opportunities for some of the teams to play at Ravenhill.

Also the lucky Primary 6 team that beat off rival teams to play at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin in a Round Robin competition - proving a great hit with the young team!
