Leamington Hibs made it 4 wins from 4 with a convincing victory against Leek Wootton.

The goal fest got underway on the third minute when Craig Wallsgrove ran down the left wing and unselfishly squared to Ashley Kitchen who placed into the top corner from close range, from just inside the box.

Goal number two came on 10 minutes with good link up play from Walsgrove and Kitchen. This time the roles were revered, Kitchen crossed to Walsgrove who produced a crisp finish into the bottom corner. An excellent counter attack which started from a Steve Brandl tackle in the Hibs penalty area.

Leek Wotton had an opportunity to pull a goal back on 15 minutes but were denied by Hibs goalkeeper Ryan Mason who tipped excellently over the bar direct from a free kick. Ryan claimed it was a 'world class' save and in truth, it wasn't far off!

Steve Lockley started the move for goal number 3 when he threaded an excellent through ball to Scott O'Loughlin. Scott who had got into an excellent forward position, was unlucky not to score, with a good save from Craig Ellard in the Leek Wootton goal. The shot could only be parried into the path of Wallsgrove who scored his second goal of the game from close range.

Dave Sweet started up his motor for goal number 4, when he dribbled past several Leek Wootton challenges and ran the length of the pitch. He probably couldn't feel his legs when he got to the goal, but managed to get a shot at the keeper who parried into the path of Kitchen who scored his hatrick on 35 minutes.

Lance Clarke, who dominated in the middle of midfield with Lockley and O'Loughlin throughout the 90 minutes, neatly controlled the ball on his chest before volleying to Kitchen who volleyed home with a controlled finish for goal number 5 and his hatrick.

Sweet continued to push forward in the second half and another mazy run followed by a cross to Walsgrove, was met by an excellent finish for goal 6 and his hatrick.

Clarke scored goal number 7 from range, when he smashed an excellent shot past the Leek Wooton keeper from 25 yards. This was following great build up play from Joe Cure who beat 4 men before teeing up Lance to dispatch.

Goal of the day was saved for number 8 with excellent short sharp passing between Lockley, Walsgrove and Cure who set up Kitchen for his final goal of the day, curling past Ellard from the edge of the box.

Hibs 'legend' Phil Daly, who returned to the team to replace Carl Smedley (away on International duty), scored with a great volley from a Walsgrove cross from the edge of the area.

Daly scored his second goal of the game on 85 minutes to make it 10-0, heading in from a pin point cross from O'Loughlin. Phil took great pleasure in beating his partner in crime, Steve Brandl to the ball before smashing a header past the Leek Wootton keeper.

Hibs kept their first clean sheet of the season and was organised throughout from the commanding Richard Davis. Callum Cook can also be pleased with his performance, playing in a more advanced position.
