The deal was done in time for Chapman to make his debut for Drayton at Stafford Rangers on Saturday but he had to pick the ball out of his net on four occasions the last being an effort by former Blues’ striker Dan Cope,

Chapman, who was struggling for form over the last few weeks and was replaced by Derby County youngster Ross Etheridge, returned to Leek in January 2013 after a spell with Welsh League side Airbus UK.

He originally joined the Blues on loan from Nantwich Town in November 2011 and made the move permanent later on in the season. Chapman has now made over 100 appearances for Blues.
