WELCOME BACK Forest Under 10s Parents –Coaches-Referees- Volunteers
I have no doubt that this season is going to be very tough for us we are the reigning county champions and the team everyone wants to beat, however our aim as always will be about their safety, team work, player development and FUN!. Registration- can you make sure all subs are paid by Sunday 21st of September by the latest thank you.
Discipline: This season we do not want to see anymore in house squabbling and fighting (they can save it for the opposition) we won’t ban them from games but we will be running a sin bin. We will be harder on them this year NO back chat to whoever is refereeing or coaching in training or games, I’m sure all parents/guardians will back up all coaches/referees with any in house discipline issues.
Training/Kit We will be training on Wednesdays and Sundays this season Sundays 10.30 – 12 Wednesdays 6.30 -7.30 we will try and identify individual training for Wednesdays and team training Sundays. Everyone who played last season will be issued with a new shirt for the Lexus festival, please ensure all players have gum shields at all times and usual kit rules apply no zips, hoodies, track suit bottoms etc.
Volunteering: We have 2 competitions at Forest to organise involving our age group along with the usual things to sort out as in kitchen helpers etc, I think we showed last season that a great team off the field pays dividends on it please get involved in whatever capacity you can many thanks in anticipation. Thanks to Carl Simpson who will be joining the coaching team.
Fun Stuff: We will be playing in The Lexus Tournament (which we are hosting) The Prima cup organised by Tigers with the final stages being played on a match day at Wellford Rd, the County Cup (obviously!) And in the process of organising an evening game with a touring side on a Friday night next April at ours, (make sure you have a designated driver for that one!) Along with all the usual festivals and days out, there is also a rumour of a tour if it can be organised, if you didn’t come to an adult club event please try and make the effort this season. Thanks again for all your hard work, commitment and continued support for your boy, for the team and for the club.

Regards Mac
