The Liquidators of Hinckley United Football Club Limited have agreed to extend the Licence granted to Leicester Road Stadium Limited for the operation of the Starlight Suite and Nobby’s Bar at the Greene King Stadium.

The Liquidators appreciate the requirement for the bar and function suite to remain open for the users of the site and the Community. This also means that the site can remain operational whilst the Liquidators continue their negotiations with various parties to seek a suitable buyer for the site.

The Liquidators from accountancy firm BDO LLP, who were appointed on 10 October 2013 following the making of a winding up order by the Court, commented that “The extension of the licence enables the Starlight Suite and Nobby’s bar to remain open and for bookings to continue to be taken. The fact that the site remains operational means that it remains attractive to the parties who have expressed an interest.”

This agreement is good news for all concerned and we aim to continue running the function suite and bar for the benefit of the community of Hinckley and the surrounding area.
