This game was switched from a home game to away, as our home pitch has suffered from the winter weather.
Asfordby kindly sourced a 3G pitch to insure that the game went ahead.

Secretly, we were thinking great, a nice flat pitch to play our football and this thought was strengthened, when in the first five minutes we had three or four great chances to put ourselves ahead. Becks T did make the breakthrough with a well placed lob over the Asfordy keeper, after latching on to a rebound from a shot from Ilishia 0-1

For more than forty minutes that was how the score line stayed but Asfordby were applying constant pressure and were determined to get back on even terms. Becks L, in our nets, made a trademark full length dive to her right to keep it at 0-1 but with a couple of minutes left in the first half and from a corner, the ball was forced over the line 1-1. Asfordby's second came a couple of minutes later when, after another good stop, the ball bounced out of Becks L's arms and we were too slow to react to stop an opposition player from pouncing on the ball. Asfordy had taken the lead 2-1. Half time.

We regrouped at half time and felt confident that we could turn it back again in our favour and we started fairly well with a couple of chances, the best coming from Ellie-Mae who managed to hit a powerful shot against the Asfordby bar but disappointingly we were, on too many occasions, second to the ball and couldn't work our way back in to the game.

Our defence were working hard to stop the constant attacks but with twenty minutes gone in the second half Asfordy increased their lead and then added two more goals soon after, to win the game convincingly. Final score 5-1

Player of the match was Hannah Walker, who won it last week but showed her versatility by playing as a stand in for the injured Emily at left back.
