Past Players


Despite being a relatively new rugby league club, Leyland Warriors has already produced a number of players who have gone on to play professionally, or gain representative honours:

Chris Tuson - having played for England Students while at Runshaw College, he signed for Wigan Warriors. Chris made his SL debut for against Leeds in 2008 and has gone on to make over 60 appearances, with squad number 16 for the 2013 season.

Jonny Walker - became a member of the senior squad at Wigan in November 2009, making his first team debut the following season. In 2011 he moved on to Batley Bulldogs, where he has cemented himself a first team spot.

Sarah Hothersall - while studying to necome a teacher, Sarah has represented England Students through 2011 and 2012. She is currently passing on her skills as the U9's coach at Leyland Warriors.

Adam Walne - became a member of the first team squad in 2012 and made his first team debut that season, after gaining match experience in a loan spell at Workington.

Jordan Walne - joined Salford's first team squad as a full-time player in 2012.

Josh Halstead - was selected for Great Britain U18's and while at University, he has added to his Oxford Blues by playing for England Students and still plays for Leyland Warriors at Open Age.

Danny Horridge - signed for Leigh Centurions in 2012, playing in their highly successful U18s squad.
